Colt 1849 Pocket Pistol- 31Cal Antique status single action revolver   MFR Date: 1867 New screws & wedge - Inspected & fully tuned action. this fine piece is tighter than it ever was from factory. New internal action parts installed and a full set of new screws installed. 5 Shot Cylinder(s). Comes with original Colt cylinder with new nipples installed (serial # not matching) & one NEW Uberti reproduction cylinder with new set of SLIX Nipples - Both Cylinders show Stage coach hold-up scene. Rare 4" Octagon Barrel - Good bore with strong rifling (see pics) All matching serial #'s on frame, barrel, trigger guard, grip strap, and original walnut grips. As noted above, the two cylinders do not carry matching serial # to piece. Brass trigger guard & back strap The Colt 1849 pocket pistol was produced as a replacement of the "Baby Dragoon". Historically it was the most widely produced Colt percussion pistol with around 330,000 made. It was introduced as a black powder revolver for civilians.
